The kiss was lovely, through and through. Anael carded his fingers through Jack's wet hair as it deepened; yes, he could stand for Jack's grin to fade for a moment like this. His other arm wrapped around Jack's waist, his feet firmly planted on the bottom of the Serpentine. The cold water had no effect on him and he was entirely focused on the man against him, Jack's strong body, the way they kissed, the swell of his heart in the moment.

The kiss was better than lovely; it was beautiful.

Jack closed his eyes and let the passion of the kiss run wild in him. Life energy welled up and overflowed, the electricity of it pouring into the kiss. It made his mouth all the warmer, made his lips tingle with energy. That life energy poured freely into Anael and Jack had no fear that it might scare the other man away.

When Anael broke the kiss, it was only to look at Jack with undisguised wonder, a small smile tugging at his lips. "What is that?" It didn't matter whether Jack told him; it only mattered that he felt more of it, and he leaned in to kiss the man again, letting some of his Grace seep through to add to the warmth of the moment. Unlike what he felt from Jack, however, the warmth, both emotional and spiritual, that he gave off, was not localised to their kiss, but seemed to spread from all of him, washing through them both.

"Just a thing..." Jack said absently. He was busy kissing Anael's neck and basking in the warmth and peace that radiated off of him. It was comfortable and comforting and Jack felt wauite ready to crawl into bed and curl up and sleep under the glow of it.

Anael would certainly not object to that plan of action, should Jack voice it. But as it was, he was more focused on other options just then, especially when Jack's lips latched onto a soft spot on his neck. His hips shifted, rubbing himself against Jack, under the warm onslaught of pleasure that pushed a soft noise out of him.

"I'm not going to accomplish anything in this freezing water," he murmured. "And as much as I don't want to stop I think we should find somewhere a bit warmer, don't you?"

"Hmm," Anael agreed. He hadn't thought about the freezing water, and he now felt guilty for that. Jack must be freezing, although hopefully his Grace helped, so he didn't pull it back into himself just yet. "Do you live far?"

It wasn't as if he could offer his place, after all.

"Not really," Jack replied. "As much as I don't want to stop, let's get dressed and go to mine. I think we'll both be a lot more comfortable there."

'Mine' was just a hotel room, but it was warm and soft and dark and plush. As much as it appealed to him to snog Anael in the wide openness of nature, there was a lot to be said for electric heat.

Anael smiled, and gave Jack another kiss before, reluctantly, stepping away. "It feels a bit counter productive," he stated, and pulled himself up out of the water, and onto the nearby dock. "Putting clothes back on." He was clearly amused by it, rather than put out.

"It does," he agreed. "But flying was cold enough dressed. I think naked would be hell," he chuckled.

"Never Hell, no," Anael replied with a small smile, and finished dressing. "You'll have to give me directions."

Jack got dressed as well and slipped on his boots.

"It's in Canary Wharf," he said, then explained just where. It wasn't as if the Torchwood building was easy to miss. For a secret agency they weren't very secret.

Anael interrupted him fairly quickly in his explanations, clothes sticking to wet skin as he stepped closer to Jack. "Direct me as we're flying?" he offered instead, and held his hand out, lips curved in a slight smile, invitation for Jack to step closer, and Anael to take them up.

Honestly, he'd only found the Serpentine because it was fairly easy to spot from above. He was terrible at finding his way around London; he loved getting lost in the city too much.

Jack laughed softly and nodded. In the air it was easy enough, the Torchwood building was a shining beacon in the very heart of Canary Wharf. Jack directed him to the roof where they'd have access to the door, then the lift to go down to the basement where Jack was calling home for now.

"So this is home?" Anael asked once they were in the lift, stepping into Jack's personal space again to press a soft kiss to his lips.

"Home for now," he said. "I had a hotel, but why pay for a bed when I barely sleep, right?" he said softly in between kisses. He was happy to linger at Anael's lips, in no hurry to be anyplace else.

"Are you telling me you haven't got a bed?" Anael asked, chuckling against Jack's lips, sneaking warm hands under the man's wet shirt to touch skin. Not that a bed was necessary, really, but he predictably liked the idea of spending hours in it with Jack, trading kisses, soft touches, and, of course, making love.

"Well, I mean...technically..." he drawled, then decided it would be better to simply kiss Anael again rather than explain he didn't really do much but close his eyes for an hour or so. He had a futon mattress on the floor of his 'office' and it served him well enough. Jack wasn't big on entertaining.

Anael saw no reason not to lose himself in that kiss for the time it took the lift to reach their destination, fingers lazily exploring wet skin under Jack's shirt. Jack was a wonderful kisser, and such a lonely soul; Anael wanted to soothe that ache, however temporarily.

Jack felt a tremendous calm as the lift dinged and opened. He only broke the kiss because he wanted to be closer, to feel skin. So he caught Anael's hand and lead him out and down a hall.

"Anything you see is going to be classified," he said. "You can't tell anyone anything about being here. Do I have your word?" Jack asked.

He felt he could trust Anael's word for some reason, though he did always have a bottle of Retcon he wouldn't hesitate to use.

"Of course," Anael told him. That was an easy promise to make, given that 'classified' didn't mean much to him, and he didn't think that Jack would hurt anyone. "I won't tell a soul."

He had a curious nature, and later, he would undoubtedly be very curious about this place, but for now, he only had eyes for Jack, and as they walked, hand in hand, he stepped closer to him and rubbed his cheek gently on Jack's shoulder, touch that didn't force them to stop moving. "I'm only here for you."

Jack took him into the office which was neat. A desk, a lamp, shelves of tech and bits and bobs, and in the corner a bed on the floor. With the door closed Jack moved so he could strip out of his wet clothes.

"Getting under that blanket with you is just about the best idea of my life," he said.

"Under, over," Anael murmured with a smile, getting rid of his clothes in as record a time as he could do without disappearing them. They all ended up on the floor, and then he was pressing his still slightly clammy skin against Jack's, finding his lips again.

Once he was naked Jack brought Anael into his arms to hold him close and kiss him deeply. He'd been in love and strangely enough, this felt like love. Like warmth and connection and that special sweetness between two souls. Jack knew it had to just be a rush of hormones, lust and an early autumn chill. Still, it felt good and he was in no rush to have this over.

"Let's lay down," he said when the kiss broke finally. He pulled Anael to the bed on the floor, pushing the blankets back.

"You have got a bed," Anael playfully stated, on his knees on the mattress. He moved to straddle Jack's hips and kiss him again, running his hands over his naked back. So what if they weren't lying down, yet. This felt good in every way that mattered, and Anael wasn't in any kind of hurry.

Jack's skin was cold and every touch was warmth and pleasure. He caressed Anael in return and sought lazy kisses. He was in no rush, a rare thing for a man so bent on action and instant gratification, but this felt right. He felt...peaceful.
