That was actually a very good point to make. This would not upset the world as a whole; only Anael's world. Even if he could never go back, his trouble was still entirely self-centered, as long as he did not let his mysterious enemies get a hold of him. An angel's power could be used for so much - evil as well as good, and he did not trust their motives.
